Brendan Rodgers has reveled in Celtic’s title success, after poking fun at Rangers supporter Andy Gray on BeinSPORTS.

Celtic were handed the title earlier this week, after the Scottish football was called off early.

The Bhoys have now won the league title for nine times in succession, with Rangers left trailing in their wake.

And Rodgers could not resist making a joke with Gray over Celtic’s success.

“Andy I’ve just got to say, it’s great timing to join you. As a Celtic man to a Rangers man, nine in a row,” the Leicester boss laughed.

Celtic finished the season 13 points clear of Rangers in the Scottish Premiership table.

Despite the healthy advantage, the decision to call the season early and hand Celtic the title has proven controversial.

The Bhoys’ advantage over Rangers has been built up over 2020 so far, with Neil Lennon’s side in excellent form prior to the suspension in play.

While Rangers collapsed after the turn of the year, Celtic only got stronger, and Steven Gerrard’s side ultimately could not keep pace with their Glasgow rivals.
