Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers believes Moussa Dembele will become one of Europe’s top strikers.
Celtic – Brendan Rodgers Press Conference
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has the club’s official website that new signing Moussa Dembele will become one of the top strikers in Europe.
Rodgers was appointed Celtic boss back in May, and made his first signing for the club earlier this week by securing the signature of striker Dembele.

Dembele, 19, is a former Paris Saint-Germain youngster who has become a star in the Championship with Fulham, having hit 17 goals in all competitions last season.
The Frenchman impressed with his pace and power in the Fulham attack, and his contract situation at Craven Cottage has prompted major interest in his signature.
Dembele’s contract was set to expire at the end of June, and whilst a host of clubs were interested in landing him at the end of his deal with Fulham, it’s Celtic who have snapped him up on a four-year contract.

It’s quite the coup for Celtic, and Dembele should receive plenty of playing time as competition for Leigh Griffiths, given that the likes of Colin Kazim-Richards, Carlton Cole and Stefan Scepovic have all left the club.
Dembele appears to have plenty of potential, and Rodgers – who helped develop Raheem Sterling at Liverpool – could be the perfect man to nurture the striker at Celtic Park.
In fact, speaking to Celtic’s official website, Rodgers claimed that Dembele will become one of Europe’s leading strikers, highlighting his pace and strength as his two key attributes.

“I’m absolutely delighted and he’s obviously a big find and a big catch for the club,” said Rodgers. “He had been coveted by a number of the teams in the south but we were able to sell to him the package here.”
“He realises he’s coming to one of the great institutions in world football so for a kid of that age, to see his development take place best at Celtic, is great for us as a football club because it shows that he wants to come here to develop and to learn and to help the club.”
“So he’s really exciting, he’s super fast, he’s strong, he’s aggressive and there’s no doubt he’ll continue to grow into one of Europe’s top strikers,” he added.
