The Hoops strolled to an emphatic win to maintain their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he was hugely impressed with Kieran Tierney’s performance during Celtic’s emphatic 6-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Saturday, The Scottish Sun reports.
Despite falling behind to a stunning goal from Souleymane Coulibaly, the Hoops extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to five points as a quickfire brace from Moussa Dembele, as well as goals from James Forrest, Leigh Griffiths, Scott Sinclair and Tom Rogic saw them turn the game around completely.
But in the wake of the victory, Rodgers was quick to praise the Bhoys’ left-back for his display.
“Kieran Tierney is an incredible talent. He can defend very well and is very aggressive. The area of the game we are asking him to improve is his movement without the ball,” he told The Scottish Sun.

The 19-year-old has continued to show plenty of maturity by maintaining his consistently high performance levels, and that is the kind of thing that Rodgers will be hoping continues as he looks to carry on moulding the team over the coming months.
And it is not just defensively that Tierney has been excellent. His assist for Dembele’s and the Hoops’ second was his third of the campaign, which makes him the leading assist-maker amongst a squad that has scored 23 times already this term.
And if they hope to recover from their tough start to life in the Champions League group-stages, it will be players like Tierney that Rodgers will be looking to to find their best form in the hope that it inspires those around him.
