Celtic face the Premier League side in their final game in this year’s Champions League.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has suggested that the Hoops will be able to call upon previously-injured pair Erik Sviatchenko and Leigh Griffiths for the club’s Champions League clash with Manchester City on Tuesday, the side’s official Twitter account reports.
Both men featured in the Scottish League Cup final win over Aberdeen last month but missed the dramatic victory over Motherwell at the weekend, with neither making the matchday squad.

But Rodgers has confirmed to the club’s official Twitter account that both players will be in contention to play in their upcoming game with the Citizens.
The Hoops go into the game against the Premier League side with no chance of reaching the knockout stages of the competition or the Europa League, but will nevertheless be boosted by the news.
Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths celebrates scoring
While Griffiths’ form has been overshadowed by Moussa Dembele’s performances, he still boasts an impressive strike-rate this term with nine goals coming in 18 games in all competitions, which is all the more impressive given that he has struggled to secure a prolonged run in the team.
Meanwhile, Sviatchenko has been enjoying a wonderful spell of form alongside Jozo Simunovic. When the Dane has played, the Bhoys have kept 10 clean sheets in all competitions, so Rodgers may well be hoping to put the pair back together for Tuesday’s game in the hope that it boosts their chances of keeping City’s attacking players at bay.
