Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers brought Kouassi Eboue to Glasgow during the January transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers has told the Daily Record that he is in no rush to bring Kouassi Eboue into his Celtic team.
Eboue was the only signing which Celtic made during the January transfer window, with the midfielder arriving from Krasnodar in Russia.
There was great excitement from Celtic fans to see their new man in action, after he was brought to Glasgow.
However, Rodgers has not used the powerful midfielder at all yet – with questions now being asked of why he hasn’t been integrated.
And Rodgers insists that he is still coaching Eboue to ensure that he is at the same level of fitness as all of the rest of his Celtic teammates.
“I have a good squad so I don’t need to rush him if there’s no need,” Rodgers said.
“He’s not just for now but the future so we want to make sure he’s at a good level of fitness.”
Eboue is still likely to feature for Celtic before the end of the campaign, as they are cruising to the Scottish Premiership table.
Celtic are still unbeaten in domestic action this season, and currently sit 24 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
Celtic are next in action against Hamilton on Saturday, but Eboue is unlikely to make his debut in that match.
