Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has made Jonny Hayes his side’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
Celtic can consider the signing of Jonny Hayes as a big victory in the transfer window.
Celtic brought in Hayes from Aberdeen, after Brendan Rodgers made the winger one of his top targets this summer.
The Bhoys had to beat off a lot of competition for Hayes, but the 29-year-old said that his head was never turned by any of the other clubs who made an offer to him.

Nottingham Forest, Birmingham City and Cardiff City were all said to be interested in Hayes (Daily Record), but he never wanted to move anywhere but Celtic.
And that highlights just how appealing a club that the Bhoys have become under Rodgers.
There was a stage where Celtic were struggling to compete with English clubs for players under Ronny Deila.

The former Bhoys boss told the Daily Record: “We can’t get players from the Championship down there. That’s the truth.
“If you go to England it’s three times your salary and a higher level. So it’s fair to say that coming here is a middle step for players.”
However, Celtic no longer seem to have this problem – with Rodgers developing a very exciting project in Glasgow.
And the Bhoys can see the arrival of Hayes as a signal of the progress that they have made in recent times.
