Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic lost against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The Bhoys took on Bayern away from home at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
As expected, the Glasgow giants lost 3-0 to the German powerhouse and were never in the game.
In fact, Bayern could have won by a much bigger margin, and Celtic will consider themselves fortunate that they did not concede five or six goals.

Celtic manager Rodgers has praised the fans for their support against Bayern in Munich, and has admitted his disappointed at the team’s result.
“I must give a special mention for our supporters,” Rodgers told The Scottish Sun. “There was a 75,000 stadium and all I heard all night was them. They gave us incredible support.
“Unfortunately we couldn’t give them the result they wanted — but they gave us great support and thank you to them.”

Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have a huge fanbase, and that was evident in their support at the Allianz Arena.
The Celtic fans will probably have not been too disappointed, given the gulf in class between the Hoops and Bayern on the pitch in terms of quality of players.
