Brendan Rodgers suggests that Celtic could sign players in the January transfer window.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has suggested to The Glasgow Evening Times that he is going to sign players in the January transfer window.
The Glasgow giants are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and are firm favourites to win the title.
The Bhoys are also playing in the group stage of the Champions League and could find themselves dropping to the Europa League.
According to The Glasgow Evening Times, Celtic will earn around £30 million for their involvement in the 2016-17 Champions League campaign.
Rodgers has suggested that the Bhoys could spend some of that money in the January transfer window in order to recruit players.

“In the climate in Scotland, where you don’t get it given to you, where every single penny for every single club has to be earned, I’m happy the club can get that,” Rodgers told The Glasgow Evening Times. “I’m happy the players have the chance to earn it for the club.
“Hopefully, it allows you to build the club as you want to. The club have been brilliant in terms of everything we are trying to do here. Obviously, you have to be sensible with it.
“What’s important, first and foremost, is that we can improve the team on the field. That is always the core of the club and its success. Along with that, you want improvements off the field.
“There has to be a legacy to all of this. It can’t just be a case of getting in here and not having something to show for it. So for us, it is about improvement on and off the field and always being sensible.”

Celtic have the strongest squad in the Scottish Premiership and have some of the best players in the league.
The Bhoys, though, should be looking to add to the squad and make signings looking ahead into the future.
The Hoops will be aiming to qualify for the Champions League next season, and for that to happen, they will have to start planning from January onwards.
Celtic will take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
