Could Celtic make a big signing in the summer transfer window?
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has suggested to The Daily Mail that he could make a big signing in the summer transfer window.
The Scottish Premiership outfit signed just one player in the January transfer window, bringing in Eboue Kouassi from Krasnodar.
According to The Daily Mail, it cost Celtic a transfer fee of £2.8 million to secure the services of the 19-year-old midfielder.

Celtic boss Rodgers, who was appointed in the role in the summer of 2016, has revealed that he could make a big signing in the summer transfer window.

“No, I have never been given a ceiling,” Rodgers told The Daily Mail. “Sometimes the market, depending on where you get them from, can be over-inflated.

“But if a player we feel is worth it I will always look to convince the board because the Celtic supporters deserve the best players. I will always strive to bring the very best players here. Then it is the decision of the club. But I am also realistic as well.”

Celtic are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 70 points from 24 matches.
The Hoops are 27 points clear of second-placed Aberdeen and Rangers, who are currently second and third respectively in the standings.
Brendan Rodgers’s side will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
Celtic should be able to win the tie and progress further in the competition.
