Kouassi Eboue was the first player Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers brought to Glasgow during the January transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers has hinted to the Glasgow Evening Times that Kouassi Eboue will have to wait to make his Celtic debut.
Eboue was Celtic’s first signing of the January transfer window, and he began training in Glasgow on Monday.
However, Rodgers insists that Eboue’s first appearance is not imminent, as he wants to give the 19-year-old time to adapt to his new surroundings.

“He wasn’t one I was going to bring in and pitch straight in to the side,” Rodgers said. “He was always going to take time to adapt to the country and fitness.
“He’s not played for a while. He’s done a little training and was in Dubai with us but there were some restrictions with his work permit and stuff. But he’s done some work here. I am not putting a timeline on it right now.
“We’ll see how he is. The team is doing really well but he will make it very competitive for places.”
Celtic are in action later this evening, when they take on St. Johnstone in Scottish Premiership action.

The Bhoys will extend their lead at the top of the table to 22 points if they are able to claim the victory, but it seems that the game has come too early for Eboue to feature.
Eboue has joined Celtic at a time when the Glasgow club are in great form.
Celtic are still unbeaten in domestic action this season, and could equal the Lisbon Lions’ run of 26 games without defeat, if they can get past St. Johnstone this evening.
