Karamoko Dembele has already made his first appearance for Glasgow Celtic’s under-20 side, despite only being 13.

Glasgow Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 17th November, that Karamoko Dembele is already attracting big interest.

Dembele made headlines when he made his debut for Celtic’s under-20 side at the age of 13 this season.

And the prospect appears to have already attracted the attention of a number of clubs across Europe.

Rodgers admits Celtic face a fight to keep hold of the youngster, but he insists that Dembele is in no rush to leave Parkhead.

“He’s a big talent. You just have to be careful with him. He really is a special talent,” Rodgers said.

“His family have been here virtually all their lives. Of course, there’s big interest in him. But him and his family would rather be here and see him develop. They’re not keen to leave for another academy.”

Dembele has already been capped at under 15 level and by Scotland’s under 16’s.

His reputation appears to be developing quickly, although he is yet to feature in Celtic’s first-team.

Karamoko is not the only player with the ‘Dembele’ surname to be attracting attention at Celtic either, ahead of the January transfer window.

Moussa Dembele, who is no relation but plays in the first-team, is also in demand after having a wonderful start to life at Celtic, after joining from Fulham last summer.
