Scott Sinclair was taken off at half-time during Celtic’s match against Barcelona yesterday.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has said that he was forced to take Scott Sinclair off against Barcelona yesterday.

Sinclair was taken off at half-time in Celtic’s match against Barcelona, and he was replaced by James Forrest.

Rodgers has confirmed that the substitution was not a tactical one, with Sinclair now set for scans to assess the severity of his injury problem.

Celtic ended up losing 2-0 to Barcelona yesterday evening, after putting in a good performance against the Catalan giants.

The Bhoys fought hard, but they were undone by two goals from Lionel Messi.

Celtic are now out of Europe for another season, as they will finish bottom of their Champions League group.

The Bhoys can quickly get over their European disappointment by beating Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup final in their next match.

At this stage it is unknown whether Sinclair will be fit enough to start for Rodgers’ side at Hampden Park.
