Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are set to take on Celtic in the Old-Firm derby on Saturday.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers looks on during the UEFA Champions League Group B match between Celtic and Paris Saint Germain at Celtic Park on September 12, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Brendan Rodgers has delivered further good news for Celtic at his latest press conference, after confirming Jozo Simunovic came through training today.

Celtic had feared that they would be without Simunovic for the Old-Firm derby, but it seems as if the commanding centre-back will be fit.

Jozo Simunovic of Celtic celebrates after he scores during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Dundee and Celtic at Dens Park Stadium on March 19, 2017 in Dundee, Scotland.

Rodgers also confirmed that Moussa Dembele will be in Celtic’s squad, and earlier in the week suggested that Dedryck Boyata would be fit to play against Rangers.

Boyata played for Celtic against Dundee in midweek, and looked impressive, as the Bhoys picked up a comfortable 4-0 victory.

The news that key Celtic players are returning to fitness is a bad omen for Rangers, who have struggled in Old-Firm derbies since Brendan Rodgers took charge at Parkhead.

Celtic went unbeaten against Rangers for the whole of last campaign, and already have put a five point gap between them and their Glasgow rivals this time around.
