Brendan Rodgers confirms Celtic’s desire to sign Scott Bain permanently

Scott Bain is currently on loan at Celtic, but he has impressed Brendan Rodgers.

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed his desire to sign Scott Bain for Celtic for the long-term.

Bain is currently on loan at Celtic from Dundee, and he has impressed so far.

The 26-year-old stopper has had to step in for the injured Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries, and he has caught the eye with his showings.

Bain has played in Celtic’s last three matches, and he has only conceded two goals in that time.

Bain is still unbeaten as a Bhoys player, and Rodgers has confirmed that Celtic will try and sign him at the end of the campaign.

If Celtic do want Bain they could now face competition for the goalkeeper’s signature.

Bain’s form with the Bhoys has caught the eye of a whole host of clubs, from England and Scotland.

Bain may favour staying with Celtic though, as he has spoken about how much he has enjoyed his time at Parkhead so far.

Bain won’t be in action for Celtic tomorrow evening, as he in ineligible to play against his parent club.
