Timothy Weah joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.

Weah joined Celtic on loan from French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window until the end of the season.
According to WhoScored, the USA international has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic, scoring two goals in the process.
The 18-year-old striker is fast becoming a fan favourite among the Celtic Park faithful, but Celtic manager Rodgers does not envisage the youngster at the club beyond his loan spell.
Rodgers told The Daily Record about Weah: “He’s 18, so depending on how that goes, there’s maybe a possibility of extending that but I don’t like to talk too much, it’s a wee bit disrespectful to the team we bring them from because what happens is there’s a headline out there that says: ‘We want to buy…
“The relationship is good with PSG through Odsonne Edouard and some of the other players that we have spoken about to them, so let’s see how it goes and then we’ll review it with the club and him and his family at the end of it all.
“I am sure they will take him back next pre-season and have another look and they they will decide where his next stage is if it’s not there.”

Extended Celtic stay
Rodgers’s aforementioned comments suggest that he wants Weah to be at Celtic, but the final decision will be with PSG.
After all, Weah is only 18 years of age, and PSG could see the USA international as a future star for their team.
Moreover, the teenager himself could want to try his luck at PSG next season and aim to break into the first team despite the fierce competition he will face.
