Brendan Rodgers has labelled Leeds United’s Jack Harrison as a ‘really good’ winger, as he told his press conference.
On Saturday, Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat to Leicester City, with Rodgers playing midfielder Hamza Choudhury at right-back.
Even though the 24-year-old was playing out of position, he did his job in stopping Leeds’ attacking threat, especially from 25-year-old Harrison.
After the hour mark at the King Power, Choudhury’s job was done and he was replaced by Ademola Lookman.
But Rodgers praised Leicester’s academy product for his performance, after coming up against a tricky winger in Harrison.
“It’s really important that you have players that are really flexible like that,” said Rodgers.
“Hamza is a great player for our squad. It was a challenge for him because he was up against a really good winger, who is also good in the one v one’s.
“He coped really well with it. He hasn’t, of course, played a great deal – but he fought and gave everything.”

For Leeds, they will feel that they played Leicester at the wrong time because, in recent weeks, their performances and results have picked up.
It wasn’t so long ago that the Foxes were all over the shop and Rodgers was being questioned in the dugout.
After facing one Midlands side over the weekend, Leeds will lock horns with another team from the Midlands on Thursday night.
Aston Villa, who beat Southampton 4-0 on Saturday, will travel to Yorkshire for their rearranged Premier League fixture.
