Jozo Simunovic is not part of the Celtic squad for this evening’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich.

Simunovic has struggled with injuries this season and will not feature in Celtic’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich away from home at the Allianz Arena this evening.
The 23-year-old central defender has been ruled out of the match due to a hamstring injury.
Celtic boss Rodgers has suggested that Simunovic could struggle to have a successful at the very top level due to his injury issues.

“It’s unfortunate because part of being a top-class player is games and playing,” Rodgers told The Scottish Sun. “In order to show you’re a top player you have to be available.
“I’ve only been in here just over a year and a lot of that time it’s been inconsistent. But we just need to see where he’s at and hope it’s not too serious. Mechanically this is how some players are, although he’s still young.
“But if you are wanting to have a career in the top flight then you have to be ready to play two and three games a week consistently. So it’s unfortunate for Jozo but someone else will come in and play.”

Simunovic has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Dinamo Zagreb for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £3 million.
The Bosnian defender is one of the best in his position in the Scottish Premiership, but the youngster is being affected by injury issues.
For the 23-year-old to play a key role for Celtic this season, he needs to be fit, but one cannot blame him for his injury problems.
