Celtic spent £1.3 million on Jonny Hayes this summer.

Speaking to STV, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has said he is delighted to have signed Jonny Hayes, amid speculation linking him with a move to Cardiff City this week.
The Irish winger, 30, joined Celtic in a £1.3 million move from Aberdeen this summer but bizarrely he was linked with a switch to the Championship down South.

The transfer window closed in England on Thursday and Hayes remains a Hoops player.
The Republic of Ireland international is yet to score or assist a goal in any of his four appearances under Rodgers so far, but Hayes scored nine and set up 12 for the Dons last season and the Northern Irishman suggests he will deliver.

“Jonny Hayes was outstanding for Aberdeen for four seasons and he was the best player in Scotland outwith our squad, and we were delighted to bring him to the club”, he told STV.
The Bhoys are second in the Scottish Premiership, two points behind top-of-the-table Aberdeen who have won all four of their top-flight games so far.
