Dedryck Boyata is out of contract at Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic next summer.

Boyata is out of contract at Scottish Premiership giants Celtic in the summer of 2018, according to Transfermarkt.com.
The 27-year-old defender has been on the books of the Hoops since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Manchester City for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £1.5 million.
Celtic boss Rodgers hopes that the Belgium international signs a new contract with the Glasgow giants and commits his long-term future to the Bhoys.
Rodgers told The Scottish Sun when asked about the chances of Boyata staying on: “There is always a possibility, but we just have to see. It is between him and the club.
“What is good is that he is focused and playing well. His development in the last couple of years has been fantastic.
“All I ask, whether they’re here for one day more or ten years more, is they give their all. I can ask no more from Dedryck because that’s what he has done.”

Future at Celtic?
Boyata is prone to making mistakes, but the former City defender is one of the best players in the current Celtic team.
The 27-year-old would not be short of offers next summer should he decide to leave Celtic on a free transfer.
According to The Daily Mail, Premier League club Fulham wanted to sign Boyata from Celtic in the summer of 2018 and were prepared to pay as much as £12 million in transfer fees.
