Celtic ar reportedly ready to give Kouassi Eboue a chance.

Celtic are reportedly ready to cut their losses on Kouassi Eboue just 18 months after he signed.
His lack of game time makes this an understandable decision, but comments from manager Brendan Rodgers made just this January look peculiar now.

Rodgers insisted that the only reason Kouassi was not playing was because of Scott Brown, and promised that the Ivorian would get his chance sooner or later, insisting it was all part of his plan.
He told the Scottish Sun: “Eboue was brought in and he plays a specific role — the Scott Brown role.
“Scott just so happens to be the captain and he’s been brilliant. So it’s been difficult.
“Kouassi’s one who is brilliant in training. He does everything, and longer-term he will certainly fulfil that role when Scott moves on.”

Scott Brown has shown no signs of moving on, but Eboue is on a deal until 2021, and Celtic are under no pressure to sell.
One possible explanation is that Celtic plan to make a new signing this summer in the same position, pushing Eboue further down the pecking order..
One option is Hibernian ace John McGinn, who former ace Chris Sutton told the Daily Record earlier this year was in his opinion the heir apparent to Scott Brown.
