Celtic will decide Odsonne Edouard’s future at the end of the season.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told the Daily Mail that he will decide forward Odsonne Edouard’s future at the end of the season rather than make a call during the January transfer window.
The Bhoys spent much of the summer looking for a forward who could play both out wide and up front, offering competition for the likes of Scott Sinclair, Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths.
Eventually, Celtic did find a player who fit the bill for manager Rodgers, landing Odsonne Edouard on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the season on deadline day back in August.

The Frenchman, 19, had never played for PSG and scored just once in 17 games on loan at Toulouse, meaning he was something of a wildcard for Celtic – and his time in Glasgow has been hot and cold so far.
Edouard has four goals in 13 appearances for Celtic, but three of those came in one game, and only six of his games have come as a starter as he plays a bit-part role under Rodgers.
Celtic can make the loan deal for Edouard permanent at the end of the season for a club-record fee of £7million, and some have wondered whether the Bhoys will make a decision on that during this month’s transfer window.
However, manager Rodgers has told the Daily Mail that he will make a decision at the end of the season, as there is no rush from anybody to make a call right now.

Rodgers praised Edouard’s work rate and his talent, noting that his English is improving and he can earn himself a permanent deal with his displays in the second half of the season.
“I will just assess it at the end of the season,” said Rodgers. “I have been really impressed by him and he is getting better and better each week. The boy has big talent and is a real worker as well. He works very hard for the team and he’s the type of performer I like. His English is getting better through lessons and he’s still very young at 19 – so he has a lot of potential there. I don’t have any qualms if I have to put him into a game to play.”
“He has grown each week he has been with us. It’s just a case of assessing it. There’s no rush. It’s for both sides as well — he might love it with us, he might not. I know he is really enjoying it but there is no rush to commit on either side now. It’s just a case of seeing how it goes in the second half of the season and we will review it then,” he added.
