BBC Sport pundit Stephen Warnock has said that Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard is a “magical” player.
The former Liverpool defender made the comments about Odegaard on BBC Sport after watching him in action for Arsenal against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The 24-year-old playmaker opened the scoring for the Gunners in the first half.
Arsenal won the match against Newcastle 2-0 to maintain pressure on defending champions Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.
BBC Sport pundit Warnock was hugely impressed by Odegaard and has said that he is “a breath-taking player”.

Warnock said: “What a breath-taking player Martin Odegaard is. Magical on the ball. So confident, so calm. Arguably, one of the players of the season.”
Top class
In our view, Martin Odegaard is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and is a big player for Arsenal.
The Norwegian has been playing well this season, and against Newcastle, he was superb as well.
While it was not one of the best matches from Odegaard, he did show his class in the first half and when it needed him to slot the game down.
The 24-year-old has scored 15 goals and given seven assists in 24 Premier League matches for Arsenal this seaosn.
Manchester City are the clear favourites for the Premier League title now, but do not count out Arsenal yet.
