Ian Darke has claimed that Leeds boss, Marcelo Bielsa, has ‘charmed’ the whole of England, as he told ESPN.
The Sky commentator has stated that Leeds have been a ‘breath of fresh air’ this season and they have been led by their ‘messiah’ from the dugout.
Leeds have finished in the Premier League’s top ten despite only being newly promoted.
And Darke was full of praise for the season they have had and Bielsa himself despite him not speaking a word of English.
“He’s a messiah,” said Darke. “Nothing short of a messiah in Leeds. He has charmed Leeds and Yorkshire.
“But he has charmed the whole of England without really speaking a word of English, which he very charmingly apologised for the other day.
“I just think he has been great and his team have been a breath of fresh air.”

The platform is now set for those at Leeds and those nightmare years are now behind them.
All of those struggles in the Championship and League One can all be vented and put out onto the Premier League circuit.
And if Bielsa stays, which there is no reason why he shouldn’t, then European football can be dreamt of next season.
