Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Eberechi Eze for Crystal Palace against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
Eze, who was released by Arsenal when he was 13 years of age, was in action for Palace in their Premier League game against Tottenham at Selhurst Park in London on Sunday afternoon.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder joined the Eagles from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2020 and has established himself as an important player in manager Roy Hodgson’s team.
According to WhoScored, the English youngster has made seven starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Palace so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.
During the 2019-20 campaign, Eze scored 14 goals and gave eight assists in 46 Championship matches for QPR, according to WhoScored.
Eze had another good game, as Palace played out a 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Selhurst Park in the London derby.
The youngster created two chances early in the game for his Palace teammate Wilfried Zaha and was also denied by the Spurs woodwork before half time.
The attacking midfielder was a problem for the Tottenham defence in the second half, and it was his delivery that goalkeeper Hugo Lloris failed to hold onto for the equaliser for the Eagles.
According to WhoScored, Eze took two shots, played five key passes, had a pass accuracy of 82.6%, won two headers, took 48 touches, made one tackle and one interception, and put in seven crosses.
Some Arsenal fans were impressed by the performance of Eze and have urged the North London club to make a move for the Palace youngster, as shown below in posts on Twitter.
The Gunners are struggling to create chances and score goals. With Mesut Ozil not part of manager Mikel Arteta’s squad at the moment, the North London outfit are failing to threaten the opposition defence.
On Sunday evening, Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League and are now just five points above the relegation zone.

It is hard to see Palace sell Eze when the transfer window opens in January, but perhaps the London club would be receptive to offers for the youngster in the summer of 2021.
According to Sky Sports, Palace paid QPR £16 million upfront in transfer fees to sign Eze in the summer of 2020, and given his performances in the Premier League so far this season, his value has surely gone up.
Eze is a very talented and promising young player who is dynamic, scores goals and creates chances.
The Palace youngster would be a good long-term signing for Arsenal and would make the Gunners better in attacking midfield.
