Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are among of the seven clubs interested in signing Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa on loan from Inter Milan, according to Dean Jones of Bleacher Report.
The exciting forward is available after a disappointing season at the San Siro, which has seen his prospects wane from Brazil’s ‘next Neymar’ to a forgotten figure.
Yet judging him on a fractious season at an unstable Inter Milan is too harsh.

Frank de Boer was sacked after just three months, by which point Gabriel had already been left out of their Europa League squad and missed pre-season.
Joining a top Premier League team is his best option, a contender who can offer Champions League football.
At Spurs ‘Gabigol’ would find himself playing second fiddle to Harry Kane, and he need only look at Vincent Janssen’s struggles to consider that a spell in North London could quickly turn very sour.
Liverpool are a better option, especially with the Reds’ main striker position being up for grabs.

Gabigol would get the chance to link up with Brazilian pals Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, which would help him settle at Anfield.
After his tough spell at Inter, this camaraderie would be precisely what he needs.
His signing would be a gamble, but on a loan deal, Liverpool have little to lose. Despite the stability Tottenham could also offer, the Reds are a superior fit.
