Everton forward Richarlison may have scored for his country in a 2-0 win, but his performance was described as ‘far from spectacular’ by O’Dia.
Richarlison headed home his side’s second goal of the night, as they picked up an impressive victory.
And his performance generally earned praise, even if he didn’t show the flair typically associated with a Brazilian forward.
“Far from spectacular, but he ran all the time, opened up spaces and still suffered the tackle that resulted in the expulsion of Cavani. He scored his ninth goal in 23 games for Brazil,” O’Dia wrote about the Everton attacker, before giving him a 7.5/10 rating.
Lance were similarly positive about the Everton man’s display, and suggested that he took his chance to start well.
“He played more open on the left and did not waste the chance he had,” they said.

“He positioned himself very well inside the area, took advantage of Lodi’s cross and headed down, with no chance for the goalkeeper.”
Richarlison’s display is encouraging for Everton, as he is set to return to their starting line-up at the weekend.
Richarlison has missed Everton’s last three games with suspension, as their form has slowed without him.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side have lost their last three matches without Richarlison in their starting line-up, which has seen them fall down the table.
Everton are next in action on Sunday, when they take on Fulham.
