Alan Brazil says even Liverpool wouldn’t want to face Celtic in the Champions League.
Alan Brazil has claimed on Thursday morning’s edition of talkSPORT’s Sport Breakfast that Liverpool won’t want to draw Celtic in the Champions League this season.
Celtic have one foot in the group stages of the competition after thumping Astana 5-0 in their first-leg playoff on Wednesday night.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are also big favourites to progress from their tie after beating Hoffenheim 2-1 in Germany on Tuesday.

The Bhoys are a team firmly on the rise under Brendan Rodgers, and former striker Brazil claims that the Premier League side won’t fancy two games with the Scottish champions in the group stages, should both make it.
He said on talkSPORT: “Celtic are in good form at the moment. Can Liverpool draw Celtic? Because at this moment in time I don’t think Liverpool would want to play Celtic.”
Rodgers’s side were embarrassed at times in the group stages last season, with a 7-0 defeat by Barcelona springing to mind, but they also pulled off excellent draws home and away against Manchester City to prove that they can mix it with England’s elite.
Whether Liverpool would fear the Scots remains to be seen, but under the Northern Irishman Celtic – who had two years out of the competition under Ronny Deila – are certainly improving and there are definitely lesser teams in the competition than the Hoops.
