Brazil were frustrated by Mexico in a 0-0 draw which saw Chelsea midfielder Oscar marked out of the game.
Julio César 7 – Made some really good stops when called upon, could’ve been hairy had he made a mistake.
Dani Alves 5 – Not his best game, got forward a lot but then failed to do anything once he was in position.
Thiago Silva 8 – Had a blinder at the back, made some excellent tackles and kept Brazil from receiving a scare.
David Luiz 6 – Played well at the back and spreading the ball out but occasionally lost the ball by dribbling too far out, causing gaps in the Brazil defence.
Marcelo 5 – Poor game for Marcelo, could’ve perhaps won it at the end but decided to try and dive instead.
Luiz Gustavo 7 – Played very well in front of the back four, vital interceptions and covered for the wandering Luiz.
Ramires 4 – Had a pretty dreadful game, never looked in it from the start. Showed he was behind with the game when he got his yellow card and was subsequently subbed at half-time.
Paulinho 4 – Was missing for most of the game, never showed any drive or passion in getting forward.
Fred 4 – Scuffed many opportunities and didn’t play very well at all.
Oscar 6 – Wasn’t able to get the same type of performance from his first game, got shut down quickly and soon became ineffective.
Neymar 6 – Played ok, and made some good dribbles but always tried one man too much and ended up losing the ball.
SUBS
Bernard 6 – Made an instant impact running down the wing and crossing in a fine ball but soon got shut out from the game.
Jo 6 – Provided some interested into the game, but it was too little too late.
