Quoted by Liverpool’s official website, Brazil manager Tite has claimed that right now is Philippe Coutinho’s moment.
The midfielder has been in fine form for the Reds at the beginning of this season with a series of impressive performances.
He started the campaign by scoring a superb free-kick in the opening day defeat of Arsenal and has since gone on to add another two goals and two assists in their seven games so far.
It has continued his development under Jurgen Klopp, with the German appearing to have finally cracked the code on how to get the best out of the Brazilian.
His form has seen him selected in the Brazil squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifying clash with Bolivia and manager Tite was full of praise.
“There’s a reason he is called the Magician [by Liverpool fans],” Liverpool’s official website reports him saying.
“With his passes, Coutinho opens the lines, creates space. I like his mobility, he was influential in both [previous qualifying] games when he came on.
“Right now this is Coutinho’s moment. And in football, you have to follow the moment.”
It now remains to be seen if Coutinho can maintain his current strong form throughout the rest of the season.
The midfielder has often shone for Liverpool since arriving but has struggled to show the consistency that the top tier players have in their game.
If he can find that this season then he could finally see himself regarded among the world’s best.
