Everton’s hopes of signing Hirving Lozano may have taken a hit.

PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano has told the EFE Agency in Spain that he is very happy to be linked with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid off the back of his World Cup displays.
Lozano, 22, enjoyed a dream first season with PSV Eindhoven having joined the Dutch giants from Pachua in his native Mexico last summer, hitting 19 goals and eight assists in all competitions.
The winger went into the World Cup as one to watch, and he hit the headlines with the winning goal and a stunning performance in the shock 1-0 victory over Germany last Sunday.

Lozano continued to impress on Saturday evening as he made a great run to set up Javier Hernandez’s goal in the 2-1 win over South Korea, with many fans impressed by the pacey wide man’s displays.
One of the natural links in the transfer market is with Everton, as they just appointed PSV Eindhoven’s Marcel Brands as their new director of football, and a reunion with Lozano has been rumoured, as seen in the Liverpool Echo.
However, Everton – in need of a qualify winger opposite Theo Walcott – may now be concerned as Lozano is allegedly wanted by El Clasico giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Lozano has now told the EFE Agency in Spain that he is ‘very happy’ to have received interest from the Spanish duo, calling them ‘very important’ clubs – and that may be a major dent to Everton’s hopes of a big move this summer.
“The truth is that I am very happy that very important team names come out (that have interest) towards me,” said Lozano. “I have to take it easy, now I’m very focused on the World Cup, I’m enjoying it a lot,” he added.
