Rangers beat Kilmarnock 1-0 on Saturday afternoon, but there has been controversy emerging from the Ibrox victory.
Ryan Jack’s quite stunning volley proved to be the only goal of the game, handing Rangers yet another win as they close in on the title.
That’s another clean sheet too, but many feel that Kilmarnock can feel aggrieved having not been awarded a penalty.
Leon Balogun appeared to shove Danny Whitehall over on the edge of the box, and not only was no penalty given, but no free kick was given either.
Kilmarnock fans were outraged, and Celtic fans unsurprisingly took to Twitter to fume about the decision, feelings Rangers get favourable calls.
Killie defender Brandon Haunstrup has now told the Daily Record that referee Don Robertson acknowledged the incident was a foul, but still didn’t give anything.
Haunstrup added that the situation blows his mind because it was clearly a foul, but Killie weren’t given anything and were penalised harshly at the other end of the pitch.

“The referee even acknowledged it and said it was a foul but it was outside the box. But ultimately he didn’t give a free-kick so it blows my mind,” said Haunstrup.
“I’m not sure it was a penalty but I heard it was outside the box. It’s a tough one, when we get penalised for a free-kick up the other end it’s exactly the same thing. That’s life, when you’re playing well these things go for you, and when you’re not they don’t. We just need to dust ourselves off and try to lift the morale,” he added.
