Rangers winger Brandon Barker has already suffered an Ibrox setback.

Rangers have failed to bring back Ryan Kent this summer, and that prompted them to look for other winger targets instead.
The Gers had already landed Jordan Jones, Sheyi Ojo and Jake Hastie, but decided they still needed one more winger with Kent unlikely to return to Ibrox.
Rangers pounced for Brandon Barker, signing the 22-year-old on a permanent basis from Manchester City, after his loan spell with Preston North End came to an end.
Gers director of football Mark Allen knows Barker from City, and whilst Barker is fast and skilful, he’s currently some way short of Kent’s level.
Sadly, his biggest problem has already been laid bare. Barker played for Rangers in a Glasgow Cup defeat to Partick Thistle on Tuesday night, but was substituted with an injury.
Injuries have held Barker back over the course of his career. Hamstring injuries have been a repeated issue, notably towards the end of his loan spell with Hibernian in 2018.

He also suffered two hamstring injuries at Preston last season, meaning he was sat on the sidelines with those problems – and he’s already picked up a blow for Rangers.
Hopefully this one isn’t too bad, but those lingering muscle issues must be a concern for Rangers, especially as a setback has already hit the winger.
Rangers will have known about those injury issues before his arrival, but an early injury blow will leave some fans worried that this will be a common problem – as it has been for Barker at other clubs.
