Rangers winger Brandon Barker has reflected on his move to Ibrox.

Rangers winger Brandon Barker has told The Scottish Sun that he didn’t expect to be back in Scottish football – but told his agent to get a move to Ibrox done.
Barker, 22, came up through the Manchester City ranks, and had been long touted as the next big thing at the Etihad Stadium, but that never really materialised.
With City making gargantuan strikes forward, Barker hasn’t been able to develop at the same rate, and it became clear that he wouldn’t be making the grade with the Premier League giants.
Loan spells with Rotherham United, NAC Breda, Hibernian and Preston North End didn’t take Barker any closer to first-team football at City, and they decided to cash in this summer.
The winger joined Rangers on a permanent deal, adding to Steven Gerrard’s options out wide alongside fellow new signings Jordan Jones, Ryan Kent and Sheyi Ojo.
Barker scored his first goal at Ibrox last month in a 3-1 win over Livingston, and he has now reflected on his decision to make the move to Glasgow.
Barker admitted that he didn’t think he would be back in Glasgow after his Hibernian spell ended in 2018, but when Rangers came calling, he just couldn’t say no.

In fact, he noted that he told his agent ‘get it done’ when Rangers’ interest became clear, and feels it’s just an opportunity that you have to grasp if it comes.
“I didn’t think I’d be back in Scotland,” said Barker. “But everyone will tell you that when Rangers come calling you don’t turn them down. It’s one of those things in most people’s career, if you have the chance to play here, you definitely do it.”
“There was no hesitation. When I heard Rangers were interested, instantly I said to my agent, ‘Get it done’. Now I have come here you can see the place is bubbling, the fans are behind us and it is a really exciting time to be a Rangers player. You don’t look back with regrets. It is the right decision for me to come here and hopefully I can show what I can do,” he added.
