Rangers finalised a couple of deadline day signings as Scott Wright and Jack Simpson arrived from Aberdeen and Bournemouth respectively.

The Gers had already agreed pre-contract deals with the pair, but have now paid to get their moves brought forward.

Steen Gerrard’s men have followed that up by signing Simpson’s Bournemouth teammate Nnamdi Ofoborh to a pre-contract agreement.

There was a departure on deadline day too, as Brandon Barker left Ibrox for a move to League One with Oxford United.

Barker joins Karl Robinson’s men until the end of the season, seeking first-team playing time after a frurstrating time with Rangers.

Signed from Manchester City in 2019, Barker has played just 26 games for Rangers, scoring three goals along the way.

Wright’s arrival means he is now the new ‘depth’ winger at Ibrox, pushing Barker further down the pecking order – and rather than sit on the sidelines, he has joined Oxford.

The 24-year-old has now taken to Twitter to bid farewell to Rangers – at least for now – by calling the club ‘special’ and wishing them the best in their pursuit of the league title in a classy send-off.
