Rangers have brought winger Brandon Barker to Ibrox this month.

Rangers new boy Brandon Barker has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he simply couldn’t turn down a move to Ibrox when Steven Gerrard called him.
The Gers have been overhauling their wide options this summer, and Gerrard’s winger ranks barely look recognisable from last season.
Glenn Middleton has gone to Hibernian on loan, Eros Grezda is out of favour, Daniel Candeias has moved on to Genclerbirligi and Ryan Kent hasn’t returned from Liverpool.
Jordan Jones and Jake Hastie arrived on pre-contract agreements, Sheyi Ojo has joined from Liverpool on loan, and then Rangers swooped for Barker.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Preston North End, where he was able to show his blistering pace and trickery, but he also endured a frustrating time at Deepdale.
His end product was a little hit-and-miss, whilst injuries persistently held him back, and parent club Manchester City were always likely to cash in as a result.

Barker has now returned to Scotland after a previous stint with Hibernian, as Rangers – with their recruitment led by Barker’s former City academy coach Mark Allen – have swooped to sign him permanently.
Now, Barker had admitted that Gerrard personally called him to discuss a move, and once that happened, his reaction was that he simply couldn’t turn down a move to Ibrox – and now wants the fans to remember who his name.
“Rangers came in, Steven Gerrard phoned me, and it was an opportunity that I couldn’t turn down,” said Barker.
“This is my club, this is my home and I want the absolute best for Rangers,” said Barker. “I want to establish myself here and I want the fans to remember who I am,” he added.
