Bryson DeChambeau is still very much in with a shot of winning The Open Championship on Sunday.
DeChambeau posted a third-round 69 to finish up at six-under par through three rounds at The Open.
The 32-year-old American has been the center of attention at Royal Birkdale this week, mostly for all the wrong reasons.
Bryson DeChambeau received a two-stroke penalty at The Open on Friday after he was adjudged to have cleared the path to his ball in the deep rough on the fifth hole.
DeChambeau was devastated after his round and he even threatened to pull out of the championship.
However, the two-time US Open winner returned to tee it up on Saturday and he kept himself in the championship with a round of 69.

Chamblee was speaking on The Golf Channel about DeChambeau’s display at The Open so far this week.
And the former PGA Tour player responded when asked what he has made of the LIV Golf star’s strategy at Royal Birkdale.
“Again, there’s no real trouble out there,“ Chamblee said.
“There’s no real calamity out there. So he can miss fairways with impunity.
“He can just tee off, cut corners, and not worry about it, so it comes down to his short game, and his short game has been up to the task.“
While links golf isn’t ideally suited to DeChambeau’s game on paper, the conditions at Birkdale this week have been perfect for him.
The wind hasn’t really kicked up at all and the rough is so dry that it has provided no trouble for the players whatsoever.
Paul McGinley delivers verdict on Bryson DeChambeau
Paul McGinley shared a similar view to Chamblee when speaking on The Golf Channel.
“Yeah, that’s the point that I was going to make,“ the Irishman said.
“I think if ever there was a golf course anywhere, you’re coming in on the back of three missed cuts, a lot of noise around you, poor performances in the majors this year, three missed cuts in the majors,“ the Irishman said.
“I mean, a lot of noise around how poorly you’ve performed, your confidence is not quite there, even though you’ve played well on LIV, you’ve played really poorly when it’s come to the big events.
“And then to come and see the golf course, the way that it’s playing, where you can pretty much hit it anywhere and still have a shot onto the green. That’s the kind of style of golf that he likes to play.
“His short game has returned. We saw that it was really poor in the three majors, but it’s been really good. As you just highlighted there this week.
“And, you know, he has missed a couple of short putts, and he’s minimizing mistakes.
“He’s not making big numbers, but it’s hard to make big numbers out there the way the golf course is playing.
“So can he ignite tomorrow?
“I think he loved being the showman today. You saw him playing with the crowd up the 18th.
“He loves the center of attention being on him, and I think he’s relishing and flourishing in that.
“Even though there’s been a conjecture over it, the point is he’s still the center of attention, and he likes that position, and he’s playing to the audience.“
