Tottenham Hotspur are interested in bringing Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, according to Sport, but West Ham United are keen on him as well.
What’s the story?
Sport are reporting today that Tottenham have Braithwaite on their list of potential replacements for Harry Kane.
The England international striker is on the radar of Premier League champions Manchester City.
Tottenham have a number of candidates to replace Kane in the team, and Barcelona forward Braithwaite is among the favourites.
Spurs have not made an offer, but West Ham have.
The former Middlesbrough man actually has a firm offer from the Hammers.

However, the Denmark international forward – who cost Barcelona €18 million (£15.23m) in February 2020 as an emergency signing, as reported by BBC Sport – has asked for some time to see if Tottenham come for him.
Braithwaite’s preference is to join Spurs.
Should Tottenham make a move?
During the transfer window, clubs do have various targets and look at different players.
It is not a major surprise that Spurs are looking at Braithwaite, but it does seem strange that he is among the favourites to replace Kane.

Braithwaite is not a prolific striker.
Yes, the Dane can play out wide, but Spurs have enough wingers and wide-men in their squad.
Moreover, Braithwaite is 30 now.
You have to say that it would come as a shock if Spurs actually make an offer for Braithwaite.
