The Leeds United defender was relegated with his loan club on Friday.

It wasn’t a very good Friday for Leeds United or one of their loanees.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side dropped out of the automatic promotion places with a shock 2-1 defeat by Wigan Athletic – who had 10 men for over 70 minutes – at Elland Road yesterday.
Leeds could still win promotion to the Premier League, but in contrast, one of the Whites’ loan players was relegated to League Two.
Paudie O’Connor played 90 minutes as Bradford City dropped into the fourth tier of English football with a 2-0 defeat at Coventry City.
Bizarrely, the 21-year-old defender, who couldn’t even make the squad earlier in his loan spell, finished the game as captain.
O’Connor struggled on loan at Blackpool during the first half of the campaign, and City fans believe the fact that he was given the armband epitomises the problem at Valley Parade this season.
O’Connor was a regular at Leeds this time last year during Paul Heckingbottom’s tenure, though the young Irishman struggled to impress Marcelo Bielsa during the summer and was subsequently loaned out.
He is due back at Thorp Arch in the coming weeks but it remains to be seen if he’s ready to stay with the senior side next term, especially if United are a Premier League club by then.
