Leeds United youngster Paudie O’Connor did not enjoy the best debut following his switch to the League One side.

With Leeds enduring a torrid run of luck when it came to injuries to defenders this season, there have been occasions when sections of the Elland Road faithful have rued loaning out Paudie O’Connor following the promise that he showed last season.
However, after his debut for Bradford City at the weekend, it appears that it is now many of the Bantams fans who would not mind seeing the centre-back return to his parent club.
O’Connor has enjoyed an eventful month having begun the January transfer window on loan with Blackpool, before being recalled by the Whites and swiftly sent out to their League One rivals.
Former Leeds midfielder David Hopkin gave him the chance to make his debut immediately as he was picked in a back three for the trip to Barnsley. Unfortunately, the game did not go to plan for the visitors.

O’Connor was substituted at half-time as Bradford lost 3-0 at Oakwell. Two of the goals came during the first-half, and some of the supporters on social media were critical of the youngster.
Some have slammed Hopkin’s decision to throw the 21-year-old straight into the side and change their shape to accommodate him, but that has not stopped a handful of fans suggesting that they were not at all impressed by their new signing.

Here is what some of the Bradford fans were saying about the Leeds loanee during and after his debut…
