Newcastle United’s Alex Gilliead could move out on loan again in the January transfer window.
Bradford City boss Stuart McCall has confirmed to the Telegraph and Argus that he wants to sign Newcastle United midfielder Alex Gilliead in the January transfer window.
Gilliead has been sent out on loan over the last two seasons, and he has impressed down at League Two level.
The 20-year-old spent last term on loan at Carlisle United, and the first half of this season on a temporary move at Luton Town.

Gilliead earned positive reviews with the Hatters, and McCall believes that the Newcastle youngster is now ready to step up a division.
“He is one on the radar,” the Bantams boss said.
Any move for Gilliead away from Newcastle is likely to be a loan, as he is still highly regarded by the North East club.
Gilliead appears to be one of Newcastle’s most exciting up-and-coming prospects.

The winger made 21 appearances for Luton over the first half of the campaign, and he managed to hit the back of the net on two occasions.
Bradford are currently in fourth place in the League One table – seven points behind the automatic promotion spaces.
