Aston Villa have won just one Championship match so far this season.

Brad Friedel has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 15th September, that Aston Villa fans are watching a team which is still gelling.
Villa made a number of changes over the summer transfer window, with a large amount of money being invested in the squad.
Roberto Di Matteo brought in a number of forward players, to increase his side’s attacking threat, but things have not yet clicked.

Villa have won just one match so far this term, and they have had a tendency to concede late goals.
The frustrations at Villa Park were audible yesterday, as Villa conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with Brentford.
And Friedel, who played for Villa for three years during his playing days, said: “When you look at the squad that got relegated and the names that were there, there weren’t many you would want in the Championship.

“I wasn’t too surprised that once the takeover went through there was a turnover in players. Sometimes when this happens it works and gels quickly, others it takes a couple of months.
“What the Villa faithful are seeing right now is that it might take a couple of months. I really hope they turn it around. They are too big a club to be in the Championship.”
Villa were expected to challenge for promotion this term, but they are already having to play catch up after their poor start.
The Claret and Blues are currently in 17th place in the Championship table, leaving them eight points behind the top two already.
Villa are next in action against Ipswich Town at Portman Road this weekend.
