Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel is singing the praises of his teammate Harry Kane.
Harry Kane may be just 21 years of age and has not even made 25 Premier League appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, but he is a better finisher than both Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.
That’s the opinion of Spurs goalkeeper Brad Friedel, who has played with some of the best players in his career.
‘Harry Kane is the best finisher at the club – I’ve got no problem saying that’, the 43-year-old American told Sports Mole.
‘He’s up there just with his finishing as one of the best that I’ve ever played with. He’s got every type of finish – the power, the side-foot, he can chip and he can score from distance.
‘He’s really got the eye for a goal. There is a very bright future ahead of him. On top of all that, he has a very good work ethic’.
Tottenham winger Erik Lamela added on the club’s official website: ‘I am very happy for him (Kane) because he always stays late after training for extra practice. He works hard and trains a lot and for this reason he deserves the three goals’.
Friedel is one of the few American players who have made a big impact on European football, and having played with some of the best strikers the Premier League has ever seen, his opinion of Kane should be taken seriously.
Kane has been hitting the headlines over the past two or so days for scoring a brilliant hat-trick for Tottenham against Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League Group C.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has faith in Kane and has made him a part of his team, giving him chances in Europe.
However, there have been calls for Kane to get more chances in the Premier League. With Soldado and Adebayor both struggling for goals at the moment, the 21-year-old England Under-21 international should be allowed to show what he can do against the big boys.
