Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter to Real Madrid seemingly making a second offer for PSG superstar, Kylian Mbappe.
This has been one utterly crazy transfer window and if Mbappe, who is admired in Liverpool, as journalist Ian McGarry told the Transfer Window Podcast in August, also leaves then it would probably top the lot.
Sky Sports have claimed that Real Madrid have submitted a second bid of £170 million Euros for the 22-year-old, around £145 million.
Liverpool fans have previously made their feelings clear in wanting the highly sought-after player on Merseyside.
But it seems as though, with one year remaining on his PSG contract, there is the possibility he ends up in La Liga.
If that’s the case then that perhaps rules out Liverpool’s chances of signing him because he will probably end up playing for them into his 30’s.
Either way, some Liverpool fans have even questioned where Madrid have got the money from given that they were crying wolf not so long ago.
Only last season, Madrid were forming a European Super League, as Real Madrid’s chief, Florentino Perez, spoke about their financial trouble.
It seems as though Liverpool, German sides and cash-strapped Barcelona are perhaps the only European giants not getting involved in this crazy transfer drama this summer.
PSG have signed Lionel Messi, Chelsea brought Romelu Lukaku to the club, Man City spent £100 million on Jack Grealish, whilst their neighbours added Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to their ranks.
And it might not be over yet!
Nonetheless, whilst all of that is happening, Liverpool’s ship isn’t run that way, which perhaps annoys some supporters.
Either way, this is how they reacted to the claims about Mbappe on Thursday:
