Sheffield Wednesday host Blackburn Rovers at Hillsborough on Saturday.

Steve Bruce has admitted that deciding whether or not to start Sam Winnall is the biggest dilemma he faces ahead of Blackburn Rovers’ visit to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Winnall has made a positive impact in each of his last two substitute appearances, having previously been omitted from first-team contention to work on his fitness after spending the best part of a year on the sidelines.
And the popular 28-year-old would likely go straight into Bruce’s side was fitness no issue. However, it was clear in the closing stages of Sheffield Wednesday’s win at Bolton – when Winnall “couldn’t put one leg in front of the other” according to his manager – that he remains far from peak condition.
So who could play instead?
Bruce started Atdhe Nuhiu alongside Steven Fletcher on Tuesday and although the Kosovan was heavily involved in the move that led to his partner opening the scoring, theirs was perhaps not the most convincing link-up, albeit in difficult conditions.
And if it is not to be Winnall or Nuhiu, the only real candidates are not proper strikers at all.

George Boyd has featured regularly at number 10 in recent weeks, but has little to show for his manager’s faith.
So perhaps it could be Marco Matias who gets the nod? The Portuguese enjoyed a strong first half to the season, but has only appeared twice under Bruce, who has repeatedly promised to give every player a chance.
