Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack has been included in Malky Mackay’s Scotland squad to face Netherlands.

Kris Boyd has told BBC Sport that Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack does not deserve to be in the Scotland squad, after Malky Mackay selected the midfielder to face Netherlands on Thursday.
Scotland take on Dick Advocaat’s side at Pittodrie in an international friendly, with interim Scotland manager Mackay picking a number of fringe stars from the Scottish Premiership.
Aberdeen duo Graeme Shinnie and Kenny McLean make the cut, while John McGinn also is included. Celtic loanee Ryan Christie is also in the side, while Nottingham Forest forward Jason Cummings could win his first cap.

Former Rangers striker Boyd, who now plays for Kilmarnock alongside being a pundit on Scottish football, claimed that 25-year-old Jack does not warrant a place in the squad with a brutal one-liner regarding the midfielder’s discipline.
“He’s had more red cards than good games for Rangers this season,” Boyd said.

Jack, who joined Rangers from Aberdeen last summer on a free transfer, has been sent off three times for the Scottish giants this term, but two have been rescinded by the Scottish Football Association.
It remains to be seen if Mackay will start Jack, who faces competition from the likes of Celtic trio Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong and Callum McGregor as well as McLean and Shinnie.
