Bournemouth striker Joshua King has been linked with a move to Tottenham.
Bournemouth’s Joshua King scores their first goal against Sunderland
Bournemouth striker Joshua King has told Nettavisen in his native Norway that he is happy to be recognised after speculation linked him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
King, 25, enjoyed a solid if unspectacular Premier League campaign last season, notching six goals for Bournemouth following a free transfer move from Blackburn Rovers.
The former Manchester United trainee has become a Premier League star this season though, as his winning goal against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon was his 15th of the season, and his 12th goal in 14 games since the turn of the year.
King is the Premier League’s form striker, and it was only a matter of time before his performances triggered interest in his signature, with one Premier League rivals believed to be keen ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Daily Mail report that Tottenham are pursing King for a summer move, with Bournemouth believed to want a fee of at least £15million in order to sell their star striker at the end of the season.
Spurs still need more support for Harry Kane in the final third given Vincent Janssen’s struggles since his move from AZ Alkmaar last summer, with King’s versatility no doubt key to Mauricio Pochettino’s interest.

Add in that King qualifies as a homegrown player or next season’s Champions League and it becomes clear just why Spurs are pursuing the former Valerenga talent – but King himself isn’t getting carried away.
King has told Nettavisen back in his native Norway that this is the first he is hearing of interest from Spurs, but he’s happy with the speculation as it serves as recognition for his performances and form in a Bournemouth shirt.
“This is the first time I’ve heard of this,” said King. “I’m happy to be recognised, but I’m only focusing on the next three games,” he added.
