Bournemouth boss Howe is the most exciting young manager in English football, with his modern tactics impressing on a weekly basis.

Bournemouth left-back Charlie Daniels has told talkSPORT that there are many similarities between Cherries gaffer Eddie Howe and Sunday’s opponent Jurgen Klopp.

Howe and Klopp are two of the most respected figures in the top flight at the moment, seemingly immune to the repeated sack rumours that envelope the majority of their Premier League colleagues.

The Cherries boss has impressed under the microscope of the Premier League with his commitment to attacking, passing football and modern high-pressing approach, to the extent that he has been touted as the long-term successor to Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

And Daniels, whose Bournemouth side will host Klopp’s Liverpool on Sunday, believes there is many similarities between his 39-year-old boss and The Reds’ charismatic head coach.

“[Klopp has] been a breath of fresh air to the Premier League. He always seems to have a smile on his face and the enthusiasm,” the attacking left back told Jim White on talkSPORT, broadcast at 10am on 2nd December.

“There’s a lot of similarities with our gaffer, the work ethic, the way he likes to press and play attacking football.”

Howe’s stylistic principles were evident in Bournemouth’s defeat against Arsenal last week, with The Cherries dominating possession for the majority of the first half and creating a number of presentable chances.

Though a late rally from the Alexis Sanchez-inspired Gunners consigned the plucky visitors to an eventual 3-1 defeat, Daniels believes they can repeat the performance against Liverpool, suggesting that they could use Klopp’s high pressing tactic against him.

“If we can beat their press we can create chances for our attacking players. It’s going to be a little bit of cat and mouse but hopefully it will be a great attacking game.”
