HITC understands that Bournemouth have contingency plans in place in case forward Dominic Solanke departs the Vitality Stadium this summer.

We have reported that Tottenham Hotspur are progressing in talks to sign Dominic Solanke with Ange Postecoglou’s side keen on signing a new centre-forward this summer.

HITC is told that Spurs would be willing to pay around his release clause figure of £65 million but they would prefer a deal to be agreed and payments staggered rather than paying in one lump sum.

If Spurs do get the deal over the line, Bournemouth will be looking for replacements and the Cherries have contingency plans.

Bournemouth identify Solanke replacements

HITC understands that Bournemouth did not believe that Dominic Solanke would be leaving this summer, but now that is a possibility they are doing their due diligence on potential successors.

HITC understands that Cameron Archer, recalled by Aston Villa after Sheffield United were relegated, is an option they like and is amongst their top targets.

Archer made 29 Premier League appearances for the Blades last season with the Englishman scoring just four times for the Yorkshire side.

HITC also understands their football supremo Tiago Pinto is going through options and we understand one that he likes is Tammy Abraham.

Tiago is a huge fan of Abraham having worked very hard to sign him for Roma from Chelsea in 2021 and the England striker is available this summer after Roma brought in Artem Dovbyk.

Abraham had a torrid time with injuries for Roma last season as the former Blues striker made just eight Serie A appearances for the club.

Bournemouth face competition for Abraham

AC Milan have held talks over Abraham in recent days, whilst Napoli have also seen him as a possible alternative to Romelu Lukaku, although the Belgian is still very much their first choice.

Napoli could be set to lose Victor Osimhen to Chelsea with sources telling HITC that the Blues are in talks to try and sign the Nigerian striker so Abraham could be an option for the Italian giants.

As well as AC Milan and Napoli, sources have told HITC that Atalanta have also made an enquiry over Abraham following Gianluca Scamacca’s season-ending injury.
