Centre-back Steve Cook has signed a new four-year contract with Bournemouth, as reported by the club’s website.
The 26-year-old joined the Cherries from Brighton in 2012 and has since become a regular feature in Eddie Howe’s side.
He has played the full 90 minutes in every Premier League fixture for Bournemouth this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist as they finished ninth in the Premier League, behind eighth placed Southampton only on goal difference.
The Brighton youth product has made 231 appearances for the Cherries and his new contract will mean he will be a key player for them for years to come.
Cook celebrated the end to the 2016/17 Premier League season by being presented with two awards at the Cherries end of season awards ceremony, including The Michy Cave/Bournemouth Echo Player of the Season.

The defender also won the award for Bournemouth’s Goal of the Season, for his strike in the Cherries’ 4-3 victory over Liverpool in December.
He has earned his contract extension with his impressive and reliable performances for Eddie Howe’s side, and Bournemouth fans have taken to Twitter to offer their congratulations.
