Bournemouth beat Aston Villa 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Aston Villa suffered a second straight defeat in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, losing 2-1 at home to Bournemouth.
Villa were beaten at Tottenham last weekend despite a valiant performance, and were hoping for better back at Villa Park for their first home game back in the Premier League.
It all started terribly for Villa though, as Tom Heaton brought down Callum Wilson for an early Bournemouth penalty, with Josh King converting.
One became two as Harry Wilson’s long-range drive took a nick off Tyrone Mings and beat Heaton, leaving Villa with a mountain to climb at half time.
Douglas Luiz did rattle home a superb long-range effort to grab a goal back for Villa, but they couldn’t find the equaliser, slumping to another defeat.
Dean Smith has plenty to think about ahead of Friday’s game against Everton, and whilst Mings won’t be dropped any time soon after another strong display, Bournemouth fans are poking fun at him.

Mings left Bournemouth this summer for a permanent move to Villa, even boarding a train back home in his full Villa kit after winning promotion – which rubbed some up the wrong way.
Some mocked Mings on Twitter, joking that the deflection handed Bournemouth the win, ironically touting him for England as some Villa fans have been, and branding him a waste of money after his big-money move from the Cherries.
